This mat DOES has a factory defect, as described. There are eight one inch by four inch markings, a faded navy blue color. This is only on one side as described, I knew what I was buying. The quality is great, and the color is my favorite. I only purchased this at home, but to be honest, if I did go to a class I wouldn't mind using this mat. Great value.

No odors when it was unpacked. Density allows for ample support, does not slip, and the length is an added bonus for someone tall like me. The marks on one side of the mat (classifying it as a reject) do not detract from the quality.

I have no complaints! This is exactly as described. Who cares about the few marks that are shown in a photo BEFORE you even buy the product? I mean it's not like the people in yoga class are going to judge you buy how your mat looks anyway. I love this mat because it is thick enough to where you can practice yoga on a cement floor comfortably and the bright colors are a plus. I also bought one for my sister and she loves it too! I would recommend this to anyone and you can't beat the price :)

This mat is very good for the price! It does have a factory 'defect' as listed in the description, i.e. dark lines on one side of the mat & only at one end. I bought to use in my home but would use in a class setting if needed (put the marked side down & no one would know the difference).
The thickness is perfect, adds extra padding for my back but not so thick you get tripped up on it. Would recommend to others.

Super thick, great color, and easy deliver. I just wish, for the price, they'd throw in a carrying strap, even if it was cheap; so that I at least have something to carry it until I find a strap or case I prefer better. Other than that, it's great. Very affordable.
